What does 'annual' mean in practice?
Every council is assessed during the January–March assessment period each year. Your annual report is delivered shortly after. Clearsight subscribers also receive one on-demand updated assessment per year; Clearsight+ subscribers can request unlimited updates, each delivered within 4 weeks.
Why can Clearsight+ subscribers request unlimited updates?
Councils that take action to improve their transparency and engagement should not have to wait a full year to see their score updated. Clearsight+ subscribers can request an updated assessment at any time — delivered within 4 weeks — so your score always reflects your most recent improvements.
Can I add resident surveys to a Clearsight subscription?
Yes. Dedicated resident surveys are available as an add-on for Clearsight subscribers at £95 per survey. Clearsight+ includes two surveys per year as standard.
How does the school engagement review work?
Council Clearsight uses the DfE GIAS register to identify schools in your council area and then searches for publicly available evidence of engagement across three sources: your council's website, published meeting minutes, and published accounts. Clearsight+ subscribers receive a detailed school engagement evidence review as part of their assessment.
